- Currently, I'm the Research Director for Project New Media Literacies of MIT’s Comparative Media Studies Department, an initiative that supports research and innovative teaching methods to engage today’s digital kids.
Before joining MIT, I co-founded and acted as CEO of Platform Shoes Forum (PSF), a non-profit organization that researches and develops digital learning platforms for youth. I'm co-creator of Zoey's Room, an online community for 10-14 year-old girls, encouraging their creativity through science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Zoey's Room has proven results in advancing STEM and Media Literacy skills.
I'm a Leaders in Learning Award winner from Cable in the Classroom and 2007 National School Boards Association's "20 to Watch" educators.

Welcome to the ISTE NECC 2009 Ning! You are now an important member of a year round social network where educators can make plans for the upcoming conference and start discussions to continue on site as well as share tech ideas, resources, questions, and suggestions with other educators.
The forums are divided into general discussions and discussions specific to conference sessions, usually started by the presenters. There are over 90 groups ranging from ISTE affiliates and SIGs to groups discussing particular areas of ed tech as well as a NECC Newbie group.
