Hi, Donna,
I hope you will leave some comments on the NECC 2009 Forum about Technology and ELL students. It was a "Birds of a Feather" session at NECC, and I played moderator.
Also, if any teachers in your building are interested in a last-minute course this summer, here's some info:
There is a free 10-hour online summer workshop (for PA teachers only) starting Monday, July 6.
If you are interested in more info, please go to this wiki site from the PA Dept. of Ed. There are still a few places in the ePals section, with 10 credits under Act 48.
Registration and full details available at: http://cffsummervirtualcamps.wikispaces.com
FYI, from outside the English-speaking world, a lot of ELL teachers use ePals to find pen pals who are native speakers for their students.
Best wishes, Rita
