A Week Away!

Does it make me a geek to be excited about a technology in education conference? My wife says it does, but she is nice about it. I am not really into labels for myself like that- Geek, Trekkie... but I guess they fit.
I am thrilled that I get to attend this year! When NECC was in Altanta, I followed things pretty closely from afar. Last year in San Antonio I was virtually there- I lead a tour of the Alamo in Second Life, followed all the blogging about the conference, looked at all the pictures… Continue

Hello Gary!

Welcome to the ISTE NECC 2009 Ning! You are now an important member of a year round social network where educators can make plans for the upcoming conference and start discussions to continue on site as well as share tech ideas, resources, questions, and suggestions with other educators. If you can't attend the conference, you can still participate and find out what opportunities you can take advantage of without physically being there.

The forums are divided into general discussions and discussions specific to conference sessions, usually started by the presenters. There are over 90 groups ranging from ISTE affiliates and SIGs to groups discussing particular areas of ed tech as well as a NECC Newbie group.

Glad you joined us!
