We are beginning the interactive whiteboard quest at our school and it looks like Promethean will be our solution. My teachers will be so excited to work with and collaborate with you!

I have a Promethean Board in my special education classroom. General education teachers and I collaborate and the general ed kids come to our room to use the Promethean.

We received Promethean Boards mounted in Social Studies, English, Math, and Science classrooms as part of the Classrooms for the Future Grant in Pennsylvania at Avon Grove High School. Some teachers have created or modified some very good lessons for the classroom. We are using Activotes and Activexpressions in Math class primarily, but they are catching on with other teachers also.

If you will be at NECC and are willing/able to donate an hour of your time then I need your help. We are trying something new at NECC this year, the Digital Arts Playground. I am in charge of the section called Designing Delights, this is the graphic design area. I am looking for many good people to help staff this area. Deep South Louisiana, in St. Bernard Parish east of New Orleans, our 15 schools were completely wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. To date we have 5 schools rebuilt with 3 under construction. Each classroom has a Promethean board with Activotes and Activslates.

We are truly looking forward to the 21st century learning experience!

Hi Jeff!
Most of our elementary schools received 1 board per grade level at the beginning of the 07-08 school year. We've implemented Intro and Intermediate classes already -run through the local community college where several of us are adjuncts.
This summer, our Director of Technology (who is attending NECC) is bringing in trainers from Promethean. Our Instructional Technology Resources Teachers will all go through the training and our current classes will be revamped.
In the meantime, I'm developing the fall training schedule.
We are very lucky to have a school board with vision.

Roanoke, VA. checking in. I won't be physically attending NECC, but will participate online. Our county purchased an ACTIVboard for every elementary classroom district-wide this summer. I'm looking forward to the NECC presentations!

We are adding 24 new ACTIVboards and 5 sets of Activexpressions this summer. PD for the teachers getting a "21st Century Classroom" upgrade will be a major focus for 2008-09. All grade levels 1-8 will have at least two ACTIVboard classrooms.
