If you would like to see a "live" version of the graphic novel made with HyperStudio, use this url: http://bit.ly/SutiA

This does require a Mac and Safari with the HyperStudio plug-in, which you can get here: http://bit.ly/E5qLg

A plug-in for Windows and Internet Explorer is in development, and you can download that here: http://www.mackiev.com/support_hswin.html

I've been doing working on graphic novels as medium for digital storytelling, and particular with an idea that I'm developing called "token-based storytelling", which could also be used for presentations. You can see some screenshots here: http://bit.ly/J1FaU

Beth, I would use Photostory 3. Have students take pictures while on their field trip. Then they can import them into Photostory 3 and write about each part of their field trip experience. They could also narrate their experience or incorporate the sounds from the field trip.

Hi,
I am brand new to digital storytelling and I am looking to incorporate the digital stories as a way of extending a field trip experience. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, either on how to help plan the stories with my students, or what equipment might be best to use.
Thanks!

I have been playing around with Keynote as a storytelling tool. I like the fact that you can add both narration and music in the background. Kids find it easy to use and planning remains the same process. Anyone else using this tool for stories.

Hi. Just found this group and wanted to introduce my company. http://www.doink.com We provide free drawing and animation tools being used now in middle and high schools. Great for digital storytelling. Comparable to Flash but much easier to use. Let me know if I can ever be of help. Karen@doink.com
